Final Product » output of drying system

The final dry product (granules in size range of 2-5 mm) of a Vadeb® drying system is cooled to a temperature of < 45°C (or lower) before transported to the final product storage.

More about the final granular product

The final granular sized product meets the US-EPA 40CFR503, Class-A Regulation for Pathogen Reduction Requirements. It meets those requirements thanks to a product retention time of more than 10 minutes at a minimum temperature of 80 °Celsius and a product moisture content of less than 10%. The granular product has a lower heating value of 11-15 Mjoule/kg dry, depending on the original sludge characteristics.

Sintered, partially melted and crushed bottom slag is produced when a Vadeb Recovery is installed for dry sludge co-generation purposes.
