Conveyors and Hoppers
A drying plant consists of a large number of (different types of) conveying units. By means of hoppers and (screw) conveyors, the product is transported from each machine or section of the drying plant to the other.
More about conveying in sludge drying plants
With regard to sludge drying, wet cake is conveyed by means of:
- Specially designed shaftless screw conveyors, or
- Positive Displacement Pumps.
Dry product is conveyed by means of regular screw conveyors and elevators. All conveyor equipment and hoppers are connected with the Plant Suction System. Ventilated air will be de-dusted separately and used as combustion air to avoid odour nuisance.
